Lately, I've been reflecting on my recovery journey and how far I've come. As someone who's always on the move (literally!), I've learned that taking care of my body is non-negotiable anymore. So, I wanted to share some of the new tools I've added to my at-home physical therapy routine. Spoiler alert: they’ve been total game-changers!

First, let me say that these tools mean nothing without a proper diet and recovery/strength training done with consistency. Let's get to them now:

  1. The Massage Gun

Okay, let’s start with my new BFF — the massage gun or massage pistol. Seriously, where has this been all my life? I use it after workouts and stretching sessions to release tension, especially around my knees and hips. It’s like having a personal masseuse on call!

  1. TENS Unit

Next up, my TENS unit. This little gadget has been a lifesaver on those days when pain tries to steal the show. It’s perfect for pain management, and I love that I can use it anytime, anywhere. Total relief at the push of a button - and it's just a tiny bigger than a cell phone!

  1. Portable Ultrasound Device

Hold on to your hats — I couldn't resist getting a portable ultrasound device! I've been using it to target specific areas where I've had chronic pain, and the deep tissue healing it provides is nothing short of amazing.

  1. Pilates Roller & Infrared Light Therapy

Last but not least, I've been sticking with my Pilates roller and Infrared Light Therapy combo. These little gems are perfect for supporting recovery. The infrared light works wonders for inflammation, and the roller is perfect for rolling out tight spots in between my sessions. Together, they’re my dynamic duo for recovery.

I'm so glad I've been able to slowly build my at-home recovery routine. It's not always easy, but these tools have made it a lot more bearable. I just wanted to share in case anyone else is looking for tools to support their journey.

Have you tried any of these tools? Or do you have other recovery gems you swear by? I'd love to hear your thoughts and recommendations — let's keep the conversation going in the comments below!
